Our LWML Ladies met on January 14th with much on the agenda for 2012. We welcomed some new faces. Business included voting on a new budget for the year. New Mission Projects were also voted on and include three of them for 2012. First, a local project to help the Childrens Receiving Home with $100. A plan to give to the our Montana Ministry to the Native Americans $200--which will be an ongoing ministry that we will continue to support in the years to come. Our third project will be our foreign mission to help Rev. May (friend of Rev. Herman) and his work in South Africa $100.
Another project with which LWML will be involved is Lutheran World Relief and the making of kits for children's relief. School Kits, Health Kits, Fabric Kits, Baby Kits and kits of soap are among those needed. These will be completed by May 18th when the Lutheran World Relief truck arrives at Peace to pick up these kits. Instruction sheets to complete the kits and bins to donate items will be in the narthex. Questions? Contact Barb Going!!
Our Lenton Brunch was planned for Saturday, March 3rd, @10:00. This will be a prayer service led by Dorothy Haensel. When you arrive, you will be served homemade "hot cross buns" and "Christian Pretzels" along with coffee and juice. After the service we will enjoy a lunch of various homemade soups and homemade rolls, with homemade pies for dessert.
This will be served in the narthex. What a blessing this will be as we celebrate the Easter Season. All ladies--join us!
LWML will be hosting a "Cookie Fellowship Hour" following the church service every Sunday. We will need help from the congregation--you may be called and asked to bring cookies for this--homemade or bought--. Your help would be much appreciated.
We need two delegates for Spring convention in Kalispell.
Elections are upcoming for President, Vice-President of Christian Life and Secretary. Prayerfully consider both of these items.
